It is The ninth day of the eleventh month in the year Two Thousand and Fifteen. I’ve been here since The Twenty Fourth day of the ninth month of the year Nineteen eighty. Not one week passes that I don’t think about the people who I loved dearly who have journeyed on from this life. The fact that I still think of them so often, cry for them and adjust my journey because of them makes me never want to utter the words “Sorry for your loss” to someone else again. When people transition from my life I don’t lose. In actuality I gain a layer of self that I never had before. Because of them I can weather the storm. daphne pollard//
